[@Édana] please, do not change the language of the wikipedia link to any languages other than English whenever an English page is available: this website tries to be as inclusive as possible to people who speak different languages, so English is the preferred option whenever it is available.

‘As inclusive as possible’ means English only?

If someone doesn’t know a given language, they can easily click on another one in the language list on Wikipedia.

Shouldn't the wikipedia language be selected based on the artist's most used language? or based on the language used in the artist's country of origin?
I know LT tries to be open-minded and does use English as a lingua franca, be assuming that every member of this site has enough knowledge of it to navigate the site in English only is a bit ... close-minded or oblivious maybe?
I agree with [@Édana] on this one - this seems contradictory.

PS: the wikipedia page in the artist's language also oftentimes has more information/details...

We prefer English the same way we're using English to discuss among us right now: because we assume that's the language that would put most of us at ease to discuss more or less at the same level.
It's much more likely for the person opening the Wikipedia page to be better at English than at the artist's language, thus saving the trouble for the majority of readers. If they are coming to a translation website to read about an artist they do not need translation for, as you said, "they can easily click on another one in the language list on Wikipedia." Chances are: people will more likely speak English than any other random language the page could be linked to.
