It'd be better not to have vices,
to come back home early when it gets late.
To only trust a little, to ask for advice
and to always mistrust cowards.
It'd be better, yes, it'd be fair
to not practise envy nor clench one's fists,
to look in a mirror and like oneself;
to look in a lake and not jump.
Forgive me but I can't,
my back weighs too much.
I know it'd be fair.
Forgive me, I'm not this.
It'd be better if you didn't get angry,
whoever raises their voice then has little to say.
Perhaps it'd be better if you hadn't become attached.
If I've disappointed you, the two of us are suffering.
It'd be better, yes, it'd be honest
if we behaved like two adults.
And I'm trying, I swear, I'm growing up
but I always go back to the same mistakes.
