,,Corazon" in spanish language is masculine noun.
,,Heart" in english language is feminine noun.
This is my explanation.Thanks anyway!
Excuse me, but...
where did you get that "heart" is a feminine word?
In English, the gender is not expressed, like in Spanish, by the ending of the word, but by using another word. Ex.:
boy - girl, cow - bull, brother - sister,
and the adjectives that may qualify, apply to both of them:
bag boy - bad girl, black cow - black bull, big brother big sister.
(Maybe you were thinking of 'sweetheart' when you did the translation).
The original of this song says "el rey" and, in my opinion, the translation should say "the king".
If you have any knowledge that I lack, please, advise.
We have different opinions, thank God we live in a free world.
P.S .:
I'm a woman , so:
,, (Maybe you were thinking of 'sweetheart' when you did the translation)" is not an explanation.
The heart is the king or queen of the world.
This is the dilemma?!
It is not a cookie recipe with precise ingredients and because many women may be stronger than many man,the term,,women king" is not a mistake.
But in this context,i maintain my position.
I'm not Google translate. Thinking logical:Corazon...El rey de todo el mundo.
Heart...The king of the world.
Or
Heart...The queen of the world. We analyze the text in context.
But if you really want to have the last word, for me it's OK and i will stop here.
For,, last word ", i answered here.
heart (countable and uncountable, plural hearts)
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/heart
(anatomy) A muscular.....................
(uncountable): emotions, kindness.
emotions-(in spanish language)-las emociones
los, la, las,
kindness-(in spanish language)-la amabilidad
As I have said in former comments, the singer sings to his own heart, therefore it should be "king" and not "queen".
