I guess "pas gâté" is stronger than I though it was ("not spoilt" means "definitely unprivileged", but doesn't imply mental or physical impairment so it can't be used for something that means "seriously impared"; I thought it was milder than that).
quimper - dropped or dumped are much the same, so I've switched to "dumped" - and now that you've confirmed the meaning I've removed the footnote.
souris = chick either it's new to me or i've forgotten it.
plumer - we have the same use of pluck in English; until some time less than 150 years ago it's use to mean rob/swindle/steal from/fleece/rip off/clean out was regarded as standard english (perhaps not all those alternatives were) but now it is considered as slang.
