月光の白き林で

木の根掘れば

蝉の蛹のいくつも出てきし

ああ

それはあなたを思い過ぎて

変り果てた私の姿

月光の凍てつく森で

樹液すする私は虫の女

いつのまにかあなたが

私に気づくころ

飴色のはらもつ

虫と化した娘は

不思議な草に寄生されて

飴色の背中に悲しみのくきがのびる

Translation

Pupa Girl

Pull the root of a tree in a white-moonlit forest

To find a cluster of locust pupa

I have thought too much of you and changed completely

Now, in an icy moonlit forest, I drink sap

I am an insect girl

I don't see you, but you catch glimpse of me

Transformed into an insect and with an amber stomach

I am eaten by a strange, parasitic grass

And from my amber back grows the stem of my sadness
