- But separation didn't knock on our house! - I'm quite sure that in English it's supposed to be "knock on our door", isn't it? Although in Russian you can say both "on our door" and "on our house", I don't think In English "knock on our house" makes sense.
- Your whiskey in the snow was not spared - "your temples weren't spared by snow" (meaning they grew gray).
- But love was not defeated - "but it hasn't defeated love".
