They came onto my fathers land

[Verse 1]
I often see a nightmare in which
I'm hiding in the last tree
They search for me with their bloodhounds
Turn over stones and stumps
because there are no more forests

They want me for any price possible
As they have eaten their sowing grain themselves
I will be chained up and tagged
Even if I only told them the truth
I didn't add anything

[Chorus]
They came to my fathers land
And took my childhood in their trucks
To the pulp factory
They showed an axe and they used a saw
They didn't see the forest as trees
Not even the trees
They saw only money

[Verse 2]
How will I ever find my way back home
When they made it into an IKEA table
And on the cover of a million advertisement magazines
They printed it for a ridiculously low price

Sometimes I fear so much I cannot sleep
What if it wont snow next winter
There is no light at the end of this tunnel
No humble man or a noble woman

[Chorus]
They came to my fathers land
And took my childhood in their trucks
To the pulp factory
They showed an axe and they used a saw
They didn't see the forest as trees
Not even the trees
They saw only money

[Chorus]
They came to my fathers land
And took my childhood in their trucks
To the pulp factory
They showed an axe and they used a saw
They didn't see the forest as trees
Not even the trees
They saw only money

[Outro]
There they are sawing
They are seeing only money
There they are sawing
They are seeing only money
There they are sawing
They are seeing only money

Ei nähneet metsää puilta - tarkoittaako tätä ettei nähneet metsää puiden takia? Jos näin, niin pitäisi olla: They didn't see the forest for the trees

They didn't see the forest as trees => Ei nähneet metsää puina

No humble man or a noble woman => Nor a humble man, nor a noble woman

A more correct word order would be "only saw" instead of "saw only". Näkevät vain rahaa => They only see money. Näkevät ainoastaan rahaa => They see only money.

I would also add an "away" to And took my childhood in their trucks => And took away my childhood in their trucks

And on the cover of a million advertisement magazines => And on the surface of a million printed ads
